St. Norbert College Students to Present Music Recitals in April

The St. Norbert College music department announces the music recitals of the following students in the month of April. The recitals, which fulfill a requirement
for the music major, are free and open to the public. The details of each recital are as follows:
The junior recital of Erin Hanke (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) and Lauren Wargin (Two Rivers, Wis.) will take place Friday, April 6, at 4 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400
Grant St., De Pere. Hanke will be accompanied by Sarah Kiefer, and Wargin will be accompanied by Lauren Pritzl. Both graduating in May 2019, Hanke, who will
play the alto saxophone, is an instrumental and general music education major, and Wargin, who will sing, is a choral and general music education major. Their
recital will feature works by Beethoven, Mozart, Glazunov and others.
The senior recital of Emily Hacker (Oconomowoc, Wis.) will take place Saturday, April 7, at 2 p.m. in Old St. Joe's Church on the college campus, 123 Grant St.,
De Pere. Hacker, who will sing and play the piano, will be accompanied by senior Connor Klavekoske, with guest performances from senior Sarah Jensen
(Wausau, Wis.) on flute, junior vocalist Annika Osell (Green Bay, Wis.) and Hacker’s mother, vocalist Lynn Hacker. The recital will feature works by Mozart and
Strauss in addition to selections from music theater, such as "The Sound of Music" and "Songs for a New World." Hacker is a music liberal arts major graduating
in May 2018.
The junior vocal recital of Sarah Hanna (Luxemburg, Wis.) will take place Friday, April 13, at 4 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. She will be
joined by junior Emily Rosenfeldt (Oconto, Wis.) and will be performing a varying repertoire that includes musical theater and foreign language. Hanna will
graduate in May 2019 with a triple certification in music education for instrumental, choral and general music.
The joint recital of juniors Kieran Wallace (Appleton, Wis.) and Savanna Meo (Green Bay, Wis.) will take place on Friday, April 13, at 5:30 p.m. in Dudley Birder
Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. Wallace will perform on trumpet and Meo will sing. Both students are music liberal arts majors who are on track to graduate in May
2019.
The junior recital of Delaney Sieber (Anoka, Minn.) will take place Friday, April 20, at 4 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. Sieber will perform on
clarinet, in addition to performing a piece with her mother, Dawn Sieber. She is a history major with theology and music minors and is on track to graduate in
December 2018.
The senior vocal recital of Ana Bakken (Green Bay, Wis.) will take place on Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. She will
perform a series of classical soprano pieces. Bakken is a double-major in vocal performance and communication and media studies. She will graduate in May
2018.
The senior piano recital of Connor Klavekoske (Beaver Dam, Wis.) will take place on Saturday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere.
He is a double-major in business finance and piano performance and will graduate in May 2018. He will perform pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt and others.
