St. Norbert Abbey Presents Organ Concert

For the third and final concert of its 2017-2018 season, St. Norbert Abbey’s Canon John O. Bruce Memorial Organ Concert Series presents organist Kathrine Handford on Saturday, May 19, at 2 p.m. in the Church of St. Norbert Abbey, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere, Wis. The concert is open to the public and is a free will offering.

Handford is university organist and lecturer of music at Lawrence University’s Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wis. She holds a Master of Music degree in organ performance and literature, as well as the highly coveted Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, where she currently is completing the DMA.

Handford, who has performed in recitals and festivals throughout the Midwest, across the United States, in Canada, England and Scandinavia, has received many grants and awards, and has numerous recordings to her name. Her students at Lawrence have received top awards and honors in regional and national organ playing competitions and have gone on to study at major graduate schools in organ performance.
