On Tuesday, Sept. 18, the St. Norbert College Campus will host the eighth annual concert in support of the Cassandra Voss Center (CVC). The concert will take place at 7 p.m. in the Walter Theatre in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. The concert will feature Las Vegas headliners Recycled Percussion, an interactive audience experience filled with music, comedy, acrobatics and junk/rock drumming.

Playing over 5,000 shows and over 400 corporate events in over 15 countries, Recycled Percussion has also made guest appearances on “Carson Daly,” “The Today Show,” “China’s Got Talent” and the Latin Grammy Awards. After being featured on the cover of USA Today and being voted National Act of the Year a record-breaking six times, the band gained worldwide recognition.

All proceeds from the concert and additional donations will be used to support scholarships and programming efforts of the center.

Tickets can be purchased for the concert by calling the Walter Theatre box office at 920-403-3950, or online at http://tickets.snc.edu. Ticket prices are $60 for all seats.

The Cassandra Voss Center was built in 2013 to honor the life of Cassandra J. Voss, who died in a car accident in 2007, at the age of 21, during her senior year at St. Norbert College. Voss was on track to be the first St. Norbert student to complete an individualized major in women’s and gender studies.

The center provides a collaborative learning environment for the study of women and gender using an integrated educational approach connecting theory, research, experiential learning and co-curricular development.
