St. Norbert College will offer two invite-only weekend workshops for middle school girls Sept.14-15 called STEM Girls Rock and Her Voice Rocks! Participants of each workshop will be hosted overnight at the college on Friday, Sept. 14. All meals and supplies will be included. There are no participation fees, and transportation will be provided if needed.
Participants will be invited to attend the workshops based on nominations from teachers in the Green Bay and De Pere area.

STEM Girls Rock
This is the second year the college will host STEM Girls Rock. During the workshop, girls will explore science and mathematics while working with St. Norbert College faculty, students and alumnae.
The goal of STEM Girls Rock is to make science and math “cool,” thereby inspiring the next group of future STEM women. Workshop leaders want to encourage girls to view science and math as creative, purposeful and accessible subjects.
STEM Girls Rock is sponsored by St. Norbert College, Foth and Schreiber Foods. STEM stands for the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Her Voice Rocks!
Girls will explore the power of narratives while working with St. Norbert College faculty, students and alumnae during Her Voice Rocks! The workshop will take place at the Cassandra Voss Center, 311 Grant St., De Pere.
The goal of Her Voice Rocks! is to build confidence in girls by providing them with academic opportunities and encouragement from undergraduate female students. Participants will take part in poetry workshops, spoken-word performances, body-positivity exercises and creative-writing sessions.
