The St. Norbert College music department will present a recital featuring guest trombonist Bruce Tychinski, professor of trombone at the University of Delaware, on Monday, Oct. 8, at 7:30 p.m. The recital will take place at Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. It is free and open to the public.

Tychinski will perform works by Jorgensen, Peaslee, Watrous and Bernofsky, along with a programmatic work that he commissioned. Eric High, associate professor of music at St. Norbert College, will join Tychinski for a duet during the event.
Tychinski taught at St. Norbert College from 2000 to 2005 and has appeared as a featured artist at the International Trombone Festival and the American Trombone Workshop. He has recorded with the Washington Trombone Ensemble and the Nittany Trombone Quartet, and he recently released his own solo CD, called “Interplay.” Tychinski will headline the San Diego Trombone Day in January.
