Student Recitals to Take Place in November

De Pere, Wis.: Multiple St. Norbert College music students will present recitals in November. Each recital will take place in Dudley Birder Hall, 400 Grant St., De Pere. Specific event details are as follows:

Kiera Matthews Vocal Recital: Friday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. Matthews is from West Bend, Wis., and is a senior choral and general music education major. Her recital will feature pieces by Gustav Mahler and Johannes Brahms. Matthews will be accompanied on piano by Justin Krueguer, adjunct assistant professor of music.

Elizabeth “Elle” Dannecker Vocal Recital: Saturday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. Dannecker is from Milwaukee, and is a senior choral and general music education major. She will perform 20th-century art songs, musical theatre pieces and arias from American operas. Her recital will feature two music students, William Myers and Craig Sampo Jr., along with SNC’s all-women acapella ensemble, the Kinghtingales. Dannecker sings in SNC’s Concert Choir and Chamber Singers.

William Myers Jazz Recital: Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. Myers is from Port Washington, Wis., and will play the soprano saxophone, alto saxophone and tenor saxophone. Myers will perform jazz pieces from the past and present, and will be accompanied by a rhythm section featuring John Salerno, adjunct assistant professor of music, along with Jason Holz and Alex Quade. His recital will include guest appearances by the SNC Klezmer Ensemble, members of the SNC Jazz Band and SNC student Elle Dannecker.
