St. Norbert College Music Department Announces March Music Events

The St. Norbert College music department will present a Big Band Snowball Concert & Dance and a Sacred Music Choral Concert in March. Details are as follows:

Big Band Snowball Concert & Dance: Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Michels Ballroom on the college campus. The annual event will feature live music from the St. Norbert College Jazz Ensemble, directed by Eric High, assistant professor of music and low brass at St. Norbert College. There will be a local dance instructor providing dance lessons as well as a cash bar, gourmet desserts and door prizes. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased from the St. Norbert College box office by calling (920) 403-3950 or visiting https://www.snc.edu/tickets.
Sacred Music Choral Concert: Saturday, March 2, at 2 p.m. in the St. Norbert Abbey Church, 1016 N. Broadway, De Pere. St. Norbert College’s chamber singers and concert choirs, directed by Sarah Parks, associate professor of music at St. Norbert College, and accompanied by Elaine Moss, continuing part-time instructor of music at St. Norbert College, will perform a selection of sacred music, including Dan Forrest’s “Requiem for the Living”and works by Paul Christiansen, Stephen Paulus and John Rutter. Works by John Hennecken, visiting assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College, will also be performed. The concert is free and open to the public. Freewill donations will be accepted to benefit St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, St. Thomas More School and the Golden House in Green Bay.
