The St. Norbert College music department will hold its 38th annual Summer Band Camp on the college campus from June 10-14. The one-week commuter camp is open to music students who have completed grades 5 through 9. It will take place in a series of sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, concluding with a free concert Friday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Walter Theatre in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts building on campus. The camp will be directed by Philip Klickman, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College. In addition to the main band, the camp will also include a jazz ensemble; students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drum set, piano, electric bass or guitar are highly encouraged to sign up.
Tuition for the Summer Band Camp is $135 (for those bringing their own lunches) or $170 (including an all-you-can-eat lunch). The St. Norbert College music department is offering $10 off tuition for each previous year a student has attended the camp. For example, those who have attended camp the previous two summers can subtract $20 from their tuition.
