St. Norbert College Music Theatre will present a Summer Stage production of “Singin’ in the Rain” July 11-21 at the Walter Theatre on the St. Norbert campus. Inspired by the “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time,” this theatrical rendition is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends Betty Comden and Adolph Green from their original award-winning screenplay. A comedic storyline, crisp dialogue and a score of Hollywood standards make “Singin' in the Rain” a rewarding experience. Particularly memorable is the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm.
The cast for “Singin’ in the Rain” features talent from throughout Wisconsin, including Denmark, De Pere, Green Bay, Menomonee Falls, Oneida, Oshkosh and Pulaski, as well as Lake Villa, Ill. and Norway, Mich. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.snc.edu/tickets or by calling the St. Norbert College box office at 920-403-3950. For more information, contact Josh Fields, arts management assistant for music theatre, at 920-403-3432 or musictheatre@snc.edu
