St. Norbert College's Center for Exceptional Leadership and Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute Holding Thought Leadership Series

St. Norbert College’s Center for Exceptional Leadership (CEL) and the Chapman & Co Leadership Institute are holding a leadership series on Wednesday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the F. K. Bemis International Center on the St. Norbert campus. The facilitator for both sessions is Brian Wellinghoff, director of strategy, improvement and culture at the Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute.
The cost for the leadership series is $75 per session or $139 for the series, which includes materials and refreshments. Go to http://snc.edu/go/leadershipseries for tickets.

In the Nov. 13 session on care and accountability, participants are challenged to discuss what it means to be accountable to ourselves (do what we say), to each other (do what we agree to do), to the business (do what needs to be done), to our people (do the work of leadership) and to the customer (do what they expect).

In the Dec. 10 session on trust and high performing teams, participants will understand what trust is and learn some common misconceptions. They’ll gain knowledge of the four critical components of trust and behaviors necessary to build it and see how trust relates to high performance in individuals, teams and organizations. Topics also include the leader’s role in building and maintaining trust, appreciating the role trust plays in encouraging innovation and resiliency and integrating recognition and celebration into building and maintaining trust.

For the last 13 years, Wellinghoff has organized unique approaches to continuous improvement, including facilitating executive meetings and leading daily cultural change. In the last 18 months, he has helped kick off this culture in more than a dozen businesses outside Barry-Wehmiller that look to be more people-centric while driving greater business performance.
