St. Norbert College to Offer Community Outreach Workshops in March

St. Norbert College announces its community outreach offerings for March. The workshops and classes will take place at varying times and registration fees, noted below. Registration for all offerings is available at www.snc.edu/outreach/cultureworkshops.

Nonprofit Knowledge and Nibbles: Powerful Board Fundraising: Wednesday, March 25, from noon-1:30 p.m. on the college’s campus. Christian Jensen, founder and executive director of myTEAM TRIUMPH Wisconsin, will share some simple yet powerful strategies attendees can use to build a strong fundraising engine with their board members. Jensen has led myTEAM TRIUMPH from a grassroots organization to a sustainable, widespread organization that serves eight communities and more than 2,000 individuals annually.
Registration is $30 per person. A sandwich lunch will be provided at no extra cost. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 17.
Viking Age Workshop: Wednesday, March 25, from 6-8 p.m. on the college’s campus. Presented by Heidi Sherman, associate professor of global studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Registration is $20 per person. The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 18.
Spring Noncredit Language Classes: The following classes will run from March 23-May 14 and will take place on the college’s campus. Registration for each class is $185 per person and includes instruction and materials. The registration deadline is Monday, March 16.

American Sign Language 2: Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Ann Blainski.

Advanced French: Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Salim Zerhouni.

German 1: Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Barbara Baumberger.

Advanced German: Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Barbara Baumberger.

Italian 1: Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Laura Smith.

Spanish 1: Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Jeff Gumz.

Spanish 2: Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Instructor TBD.

Spanish 3: Mondays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Chris Robokoff.

Advanced Spanish: Mondays from 6-8 p.m. Taught by Julie Flynn.

Danish Kringle Cooking Class: Saturday, March 29, from 1-3:30 p.m. at Southern Door High School, Brussels. Participants will learn how to make kringle, a Scandinavian pastry that is made by hand with layers of Danish pastry dough to create a flaky crust.
Registration is $45 per person and includes all materials. The registration deadline is Saturday, March 21.
