The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenging financial and economic circumstances across the globe. In the U.S., its impact includes a sudden stop of the economy for many sectors, unprecedented fiscal and monetary policy responses by the government and the Federal Reserve, and a record rise in unemployment.

“The Economic Impact of COVID-19” webinar and Q&A, streamed via YouTube Live, will be held Thursday, April 30, at 2 p.m. Join leading experts as they present a data-driven discussion with diverse industry perspectives regarding the pandemic and how it’s affecting financial markets, national and regional economies, and sector-specific movements in energy and transportation. What can we learn about these impacts given the financial and economic data that we know right now?

Marc Schaffer, associate professor of economics at St. Norbert College, will be joined by Rafia Hasan, chief investment officer at Wipfli Financial and Matt Muenster, a 2009 graduate of St. Norbert College and senior manager at Breakthrough.
