A team of four St. Norbert College students will conduct the fifth annual 140-mile ruck march to raise money and awareness for American veterans Aug. 16 through Aug. 22.
Karsen Sherrick (Oshkosh, Wis.), Jason Ortscheid (Neenah, Wis.), Chris Rosene (Plymouth, N.H.) and Samuel Skiff (Fond du Lac, Wis.) will ruck for seven days down the coast of Lake Michigan. They will begin the ruck march at the Veteran’s Memorial outside Lambeau Field and will finish their journey at the Veterans Park Memorial in downtown Milwaukee.
Their goal is to raise $20,000. Every dollar raised goes to 4th HOOAH, a veterans charity group out of Green Bay. This group provides local veterans support groups, skydiving and scuba diving opportunities, window and A/C repair, and other supportive methods.
