St. Norbert College will offer a weekend workshop on “Introduction to Weaving” beginning Friday, June 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The workshop will take place on the St. Norbert College campus in the Bush Arts Center, 403 Third Street.

Introduction to Weaving will be taught by associate professor of theatre studies April Beiswenger, who will provide all the necessary materials for the workshop.

“Are you curious about weaving? Would you like to learn the basics of warp and weft? This three-day workshop will introduce you to different types of looms, weaving structures, and techniques, said Beiswenger. “You will have the opportunity to make your own patchwork bag using either a simple pin loom or a tapestry loom. Supplies are provided,” she added.

Registration is open now. The class tuition of $75 will cover all materials. Space is limited, and masks are required if unvaccinated.
