St. Norbert College Announces Nov. Music and Art Events

The St. Norbert College ticket office has announced the lineup for its Nov. music and art events. To purchase tickets, and to limit the spread of COVID-19, they request all orders to be made either online or over the phone. If necessary, purchases may be made in person at the box office, but those on campus should follow COVID-19 guidelines, such as masking indoors and social distancing. The box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.

The event schedule is as follows:

Autumn Band Concert The St. Norbert College Music program presents their annual fall band concert featuring the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. This event is open to the public. There are tickets available for the in-person event through the St. Norbert College ticket office. The event is on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. There will also be a free livestream on Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m.: https://snc.edu/music/livestreams.html.

As You Like It The St. Norbert College Theatre Studies program presents “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare. Tickets are available through the St. Norbert College ticket office. Event showings include Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Webb Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Shows will also run the following week on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Webb Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.

Junior Recital: Jonathan Tesch and Katie Coyle The St. Norbert Music program presents a junior recital featuring musicians Jonathan Tesch of Seymour, Wis., oboe, and Katie Coyle of Green Bay, vocalist. This event is free and open to the public. The free in-person event is on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. in Dudley Birder Hall. Juried Student Art Exhibition The 2021-2022 Juried Student Art Exhibition features work from current St. Norbert College students. The exhibit will be in the Baer Gallery in the Bush Art Center beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, and will remain on display through Friday, Dec. 3.

Chamber Music Concert Fall The St. Norbert College Music program presents a concert featuring the Chamber Choir. This event is free and open to the public. The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 9, in Dudley Birder Hall. Tickets are not required for this event. The event will also be on livestream: http://www.snc.edu/music/livestreams.html.

November Art Exhibition Reception The November reception celebrates the 2021-22 Juried Student Art Exhibition. This event is free and open to the public. However, capacity is limited, and it is recommended that you reserve your spot soon through the St. Norbert ticket office website. The event begins at 5 p.m. in the Bush Art Center Galleries on Thursday, Nov. 11, and at 5:45 p.m. awards will be announced.

Autumn Instrumental Jazz Concert The St. Norbert College Music program presents the annual fall instrumental jazz concert featuring the St. Norbert Jazz Ensemble. Tickets are available for the in-person event through the St. Norbert College ticket office. The event is on Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. SNC Community Band Concert The St. Norbert College Music program presents a concert featuring the SNC Community Band. The SNC Community Band is a group formed of outstanding musicians composed of friends, alumni and faculty of St. Norbert College. Tickets are available for the in-person event through the St. Norbert College ticket office. The event is on Monday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Opera Workshop Concert The St. Norbert College Music program presents a concert featuring St. Norbert College students. These students will be performing operatic works after conducting a semester-long study of various genres of musical drama and vocal-performance styles. This event is free and open to the public. The event is ticketed, but is free. Tickets can be reserved through the St. Norbert College Ticket Office. The event is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Dudley Birder Hall.
String and Bell Concert Fall The St. Norbert College Music program presents the annual fall concert featuring the St. Norbert College String Ensemble and Bell Choir. The event is free and open to the public. The event is at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, in Dudley Birder Hall. The event will also be free on livestream: http://www.snc.edu/music/livestreams.html.

The Nutcracker Presented by the Dance Company. Based on the story by E.T.A. Hoffman, with songs from Tchaikovsky's “Nutcracker Suite,” “The Nutcracker” tells the classic tale of a young German girl who discovers an enchanted kingdom ruled by a wooden nutcracker prince. The event is at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, and Saturday, Nov. 27, in the Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts. Additionally, there will be two matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, and Sunday, Nov. 28. Tickets are available through the St. Norbert College Ticket Office.
