St. Norbert College Announces Lineup for Great Decisions Lecture Series

St. Norbert College’s Center for Global Engagement (CGE) will host its annual Great Decisions Lecture Series beginning Wednesday, Feb. 9. Lectures are presented virtually on Zoom every other Wednesday, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., through April 20. Each year, the lecture series focuses on critical global issues selected by the Foreign Policy Association that serves as a point of departure for dialogue and debate.

The lecture series is free and open to the public; community members are encouraged to join accomplished experts, faculty, staff and students in a 20-minute Q&A session following the 40-minute lecture.

The 2022 Great Decisions Lectures Series lineup is as follows:

Feb. 9: Ambassador Thomas A. Shannon Jr., senior international policy advisor, presents “Biden’s Foreign Policy Agenda.” Register at https://snc.edu/go/biden-policy.

Feb. 23: Ora John Reuter, associate professor of political science at UW-Milwaukee, presentes “Russia and the United States.” Register at https://snc.edu/go/russia-and-us.

March 9: Carrie Ryan, associate professor of history at St. Norbert College, presents “Drug Policy in Latin America.” Register at https://snc.edu/go/drug-policy.

March 23: Elizabeth Wheat, associate professor of public and environmental affairs at UW-Green Bay, discusses climate change. Register at https://snc.edu/go/climate-

April 6: Alise Coen, associate professor of political science at UW-Green Bay, presents “Changing Demographics.” Register at https://snc.edu/go/changing-demographics.

April 20: Anh Sy Huy Le, assistant professor of history at St. Norbert College, discusses Myanmar and ASEAN. Register at https://snc.edu/go/myanmar.

The CGE is the hub of all international activity at St. Norbert College and provides global opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the community.
