The St. Norbert College Theatre program will present Michaela Jeffery’s play, WROL (“Without Rule of Law”), beginning Friday, April 1, and running through Saturday, April 9, in the Webb Theatre at the Abbot Penning’s Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus.

Shows will be held at 7:30 p.m., as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 3. A question-and-answer session with the cast and crew will follow the Sunday matinee.

Convinced the world at-large can’t be trusted to prioritize the well-being of adolescent girls in the event of a cataclysmic event (or just in general), a determined troupe of preteen “doomers” commit to preparing for survival in the post-collapse society they anticipate inheriting. When Maureen, Jo, Sarah, Vic and Robbie sneak out at night to investigate an ominous hidden lair in the woods, they believe they have stumbled onto proof of what happened to a mysterious local cult that vanished over a decade ago. As they search for vital clues, examining small bones and dusty cans of food for signs of life, they fight to be understood in a world that seems to reject them. What they discover changes everything - eighth grade will never be the same.

The show is directed by divisional dean for visual and performing arts and associate professor of theatre studies, Stephen Rupsch, and designed by associate professor of theatre/scenographer and director of theatre studies, April Beiswenger. Corey Pinchart is the technical director, and Paul Heim is the assistant technical director.

The cast and crew include: Ava Baenen (Oneida, Wis.), Alyssa Brugger (Wrightstown, Wis.), Valerie Cohen (Greenleaf, Wis.), Natalie Elfner (Homewood, Ill.), Eliza Griffey (Mishicot, Wis.), Rita Hamm (Green Bay, Wis.), Daphne Johnson (Green Bay, Wis.), KaCie Ley (De Pere, Wis.), Fiona Laffey (Chicago, Ill.), Jacinta Maslanka (Crestwood, Ill.), Riley Schwahn (Reedsville, Wis.), Alonzo Torres (Chicago), Andrea Waschbisch (Oconto Falls, Wis.)
