The 2022-23 U.S. News & World Report best college rankings have just been released, and St. Norbert College moved up six spots and is once again named one of “America’s Best National Liberal Arts Colleges.” St. Norbert is listed in the top tier, is ranked 111 overall and is among the top 10 Catholic liberal arts colleges in the country, coming in tied for seventh.

“We appreciate this recognition and are proud to be among the nation’s best liberal arts colleges and to be ranked eighth among Catholic liberal arts colleges in the country,” said President Thomas Kunkel. “It’s our mission to graduate outstanding citizens who make a difference in the lives of others. What’s more, St. Norbert College’s student loan default rate is 1.6 percent, which means students benefit from their experience at St. Norbert and are getting good jobs upon graduation,” added Kunkel.

St. Norbert also ranked highly in social mobility at 44. The social mobility rankings measure the extent colleges and universities graduate students who receive federal Pell Grants, typically students who come from low-income families. St. Norbert was also listed in the A-plus schools for B students ranking.

Several factors account for St. Norbert College’s overall ranking. Its first-year retention rate is 82 percent, and its graduation rate is 78 percent. Peer assessment, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving are also key factors.

U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best College” rankings can be found online at http://usnews.com/colleges. The guidebook will be on newsstands in late October.

As the only institution of higher education founded by the Norbertines," a Catholic order committed to community, education and service to others," St. Norbert is dedicated to educating students in the context of personal and social responsibility.

St. Norbert also is recognized by The Princeton Review as a “Best College” and by the Templeton Foundation’s Honor Roll for Character-Building Colleges. St. Norbert also has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with distinction.
