St. Norbert College is honored to recognize cadets Andrew Lopez, Anton Bruley and Joshua Martin for participating in the Task Force McCoy 2022 Army Ranger Challenge on Oct. 15-16 at Fort McCoy, a military training center in Monroe County.

St. Norbert College’s Green Knight Co. is a member of the Fox Valley Battalion, headquartered at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. It includes companies from Lawrence University, Marian University, Ripon College, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. The event took place between eight teams in a competition that tested them on everything from physical strength and endurance to weapons qualifications and knot tying.

The St. Norbert College member who was part of the team placing second was cadet Andrew Lopez, a junior majoring in economics from De Pere, Wis. Alternate members who trained and were members of a second University of Wisconsin Oshkosh team, were cadet Anton Bruley, a junior majoring in business administration from LaCrosse, Wis., and cadet Joshua Martin, a freshman majoring in economics from Oshkosh, Wis.

Captain Elizabeth Culshaw wrote: “Andrew Lopez, Anton Bruley and Joshua Martin are great cadets who work hard every day to better themselves, those around them, and Green Knight Company ROTC. Their dedication and commitment is reflected in their excellent performance at Ranger Challenge. We are very proud to have them in our program.”

St. Norbert College's military science ROTC program has commissioned both active-duty and reserve-component officers for our nation’s defense since 1936. St. Norbert graduates enter the service with a well-developed sense of duty and the best attributes of strong leaders: integrity, courage, loyalty, respect, selfless service and honor.
