Scones and coffee will be served at 7:45 a.m. The free event will consist of a 45-minute presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

Registration is now open, both for the in-person event and to receive a link to the recording post-event. The State of the Economy is free to attend. This event will not be live-streamed. To register, go to http://snc.edu/go/stateoftheeconomy.

Presented by the Center for Business & Economic Analysis (CBEA) at the college’s Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics, the event is designed both for area professionals looking for more economic data ahead of executing their business planning and for individuals who are generally interested in the state of the country’s economy.

Marc Schaffer, professor of data analytics and economics and director of the Center for Business & Economic Analysis, will be joined by students of the Schneider School in presenting an in-depth look at factors affecting the economy.

Key topics will include recession indicators, the inflation outlook, GDP performance, current trends in employment and housing and other factors with both short- and long-term implications for the economy.

The event is sponsored by AmeriLux. The Center for Business & Economic Analysis was created to foster partnerships between the college’s faculty and the local business and nonprofit communities.
