“Voices of Spring” will include arrangements of Broadway, rock, pop, spirituals, hymns, world music and more, featuring solos from many chorale members. Songs include choral renditions of “Africa” by Toto; “Music Man” and “Guys and Dolls;” the patriotic “Tribute to the Armed Forces;” the spiritual classics “Down in the River to Pray” and “Down by the Riverside;” a haunting Irish piece sung in Gaelic, “Mo Ghile Mear;” and many more.

The chorale will be joined by a small orchestra, including piano, keyboard, bass, violin and drums. The orchestra includes Elaine Moss (retired St. Norbert faculty), Emily Sculliuffo (St. Norbert College alumna), Charlie DeVillers (St. Norbert College alumnus) and Cody Borley.

At the concert, students Wren Xiong, from Little Chute (Wis.) High School, and Amelia Gibbons, from Southwest High School in Green Bay, Wis., will receive the Bush Scholarship Award for Vocal Excellence. The scholarship is supported by the Robert & Carol Bush Vocal Music Fund at St. Norbert College. Tracy Arndt, daughter of Robert and Carol Bush, will present the awards.

The Dudley Birder Chorale is directed by Kent Paulsen, who also is the director of the Knights on Broadway of St. Norbert College and music director for St. Norbert College Music Theatre - Summer Stage.
