Green Bay native and NFL player Alec Ingold will be culminating his year-long partnership with the St. Norbert College Athletics department at 7 p.m. on April 4th with a 45-
minute presentation followed by a Q&A session which is open to SNC students, faculty and staff. He will be advising St. Norbert College student-athletes, and anyone else in
attendance, on overcoming adversity and laying the foundation of excellence by utilizing concepts from his book “The 7 Crucibles.” Ingold’s crucibles emphasize seven specific
leadership principles for success on and off the field. The partnership was designed as a year-long, progressive experience that involved student-athletes, coaches, and athletic
staff during the 2023-24 academic year. "One of our department of athletics pillars is the student-athlete experience - and Alec has done a remarkable job of inspiring our
coaches and student-athletes on how to be the best that they can be,” says Cam Fuller, the St. Norbert College Director of Athletics & Physical Education.
The partnership began with a kickoff Zoom session in August with Ingold, who plays for the Miami Dolphins, and our coaching staff. This meeting was meant to prime the
coaches for the upcoming athletic year and equip them with a common language for leadership development. In early September, there was a second Zoom session with Alec
and all of the student-athletes. The third and fourth sessions were held in October and February respectively and were held specifically for team captains and our Student Athlete
Advisory Committee members. Individuals in these highly influential groups each received a copy of Alec's book as part of the training and both sessions reviewed specific
crucibles. Morgan Stacey, St. Norbert’s Senior Woman Administrator and the organizer of this partnership states that “Alec's ability to understand and equip our student-athletes
with leadership tools to use within their teams has helped enrich the student-athlete experience and hopefully will make a lasting impact in their lives.”
