St. Norbert College Best Buddies, a student organization, will hold a Friendship Walk on Sunday, April 28, at 1 p.m. Attendees will meet under the St. Norbert College arch off
Third Street. This event is free and open to the public. Visitor parking is available at the Ariens Family Welcome Center, 310 College Ave.
St. Norbert College Best Buddies aims to establish a campus-wide volunteer movement that creates one-on-one friendships with college-aged people that have intellectual and
developmental disabilities from Syble Hopp School in De Pere, helping to promote integrated involvement on and off campus.
The walk will take place on St. Norbert College’s campus, and there will be outdoor games at the end of the walk. Donations are accepted until Saturday, May 4. St. Norbert
College’s Best Buddies walk is earlier than the larger Wisconsin walk.
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Join 40,000 walkers
across the country to support the Best Buddies programs in schools, workplaces and communities. The goal is to make the world become more welcoming to people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities "one friendship, one job, and one life-changing connection at a time.
