The St. Norbert College Theatre program will present a senior capstone project of Perspective Matters, beginning Friday, May 3 and running through Saturday, May 4, in the Drama Room, Abbot Penning’s Hall of Fine Arts, 315 Third St.

Performances are on Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m., and two shows are on Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The capstone project for theatre studies majors is an opportunity for students to create their own work as a culmination of their education at St. Norbert College.

The play was written by Jacinta Maslanka (Crestwood, Ill.). The show is about Lora, a trained assassin struggling with the reality that she can never leave her occupation, and Saleen, an investigator who discovers a curious detail about her past. In an interesting turn of events, their worlds end up colliding. In this two-woman short play, Maslanka's production will demonstrate the mystery of the unknown.

The project is guided by professor of theatre studies, Stephen Rupsch. Associate professor and director of theatre studies, April Beiswenger will oversee all design aspects for this capstone project.

Graduating senior Jacinta Maslanka is a writer, producer, director, scenic designer, technical director and co-stage manager for the performance of Perspective Matters. Katherine Martinez (Sun Prairie, Wis.) will play the role of Lora, and Lexi Corrigan (Denmark, Wis.) will play the role of Saleen. Graduating senior Catherine Grey (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) will design the costumes, Eliza Griffey (Mishicot, Wis.) will serve as the light designer and co-stage manager and Anastasia Ramirez (Schaumburg, Ill.) will serve as the sound designer.

Admission is free of charge and has limited seating. This production contains adult themes and violence.
