Spiritual Life & Vocation
We work to create opportunities that help our campus community explore what is common to all of human spirituality while also inviting people to make meaningful connections with their particular religious traditions:
- Spiritual Quest: Seeking to know who we are and what we have to offer the world
- Equanimity: Our sense of peace and wellbeing
- Ethic of Caring: Concern for the suffering of others
- Social Action: Practicing solidarity and advocacy*
- Ecumenical Worldview: Believing that every person and culture has dignity and deserves respect
We believe that these five facets of spirituality are core to human experience and enhance academic performance, career choices, leadership development, and how we engage with the world around us throughout our lives. [See Spirituality in Higher Education for more information. The original language for Social Action is "Charitable Involvement."]
