Policy

Employees with a medical restriction that may affect their job performance must immediately disclose the restriction to their supervisor and Human Resources. The purpose of this disclosure is so the college can explore potential accommodations to ensure all employees are able to work safely, without risk to themselves or others. All medical restriction information is kept confidential, and held separately from an employee’s employment record.

If a supervisor instructs an employee to perform a duty that violates their medical restriction, the employee must immediately notify Human Resources before performing the assigned task.

Medical restrictions include taking medical prescriptions that may negatively affect an employee’s ability to safely and effectively perform their job duties.
