Policy

St. Norbert College maintains a smoke- and tobacco-free campus to protect the health of faculty, staff, students, volunteers, contractors, guests and visitors. Being a tobacco-free campus encourages respect for others and for the environment.

Smoking or the use of e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers, electronic nicotine delivery systems, smokeless tobacco or any other tobacco products is prohibited on all campus grounds. Campus grounds include:

1. All campus buildings, residences and residence halls
2. All college sidewalks, parking lots, landscaped areas and recreational areas
3. Inside personal vehicles, in college-owned or -leased properties, and in college-owned, -leased or -rented vehicles

St. Norbert’s tobacco-free policy also applies to all lectures, conferences, meetings, and social and cultural events held on college property or grounds.

St. Norbert College will not sell, market or promote tobacco products of any kind.

Violations
If someone violates this policy, education will be the first step. Campus Safety is also authorized to enforce it through forfeiture provisions. College employees who violate the policy may be subject to disciplinary action.
