Virtual, Sustainable and on the Move – It Must Be SNC Day!

In the mood to try something new? Turn up on campus for SNC Day and you’ll be spoiled for choice! The college’s popular annual open house includes many offerings new for this year, as well as some old favorites that may be new to you. It's worth checking out the full program, but how about something from this list, for starters?

Automobile Gallery
Don’t miss these beautifully restored classics shared by one of Green Bay’s oldest original car dealerships.

Virtually There
Create your own hologram machine using your iPhone or Android device; explore virtual reality with the HTC Vive headset; immerse yourself in simulated realities with Google Cardboard; experience the challenge of escaping a breakout room. (Space is limited for some of these activities; sign up early at the library entrance.)

Wonder Crew
Show up for the Midwest launch of a new toy designed to foster emotional development and creative play – and targeted to boys.

Tiny House
It’s the next new thing in sustainable living: Explore one for yourself!

Boot-Making Workshop
Learn how to design your own boots as you explore sustainable fashion and boot making.

Gamelan Qahay Asri
Listen to something originating a long way from Wisconsin: Lawrence University’s ensemble of metallophones, gongs, drums and bamboo flutes from Indonesia.

Try it for yourself! It’s an ancient Chinese system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing and meditation.

White Glove Event
Don a pair of archivist’s protective cotton gloves for the chance to hold some of the Center for Norbertine Studies’ venerable and unique treasures in your own hands.

Enjoy a new vantage point as you glide around campus and adjoining neighborhoods.

River Cruise
Take a boat tour on the River Tyme, a fully restored 1953 riverboat.

Fun Photo Bus
Take your own souvenir snap inside a unique mobile photo booth: a vintage 1970 Volkswagen bus.
