"South Pacific" to Open the Summer Season of Music Theatre at St. Norbert College

St. Norbert College Music Theatre will open the 2013 season with a return engagement of its 2012 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "South Pacific." Performances are scheduled for June 4, 8, 9, 13 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and June 5, 9, 12 and 16 at 2 p.m. in the Webb Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on the St. Norbert College campus.

A cast of 32 singers, actors and dancers are now in rehearsal for this tale of adventure, love and triumph of the human spirit. Returning in principal roles are Mark Silverberg (Green Bay, Wis.) as Emile De Becque, Parker Drew (De Pere, Wis.) as Luther Billis and April Strom Johnson (Green Bay, Wis.) as Bloody Mary. In supporting roles from last year's cast are Jordan Podoll (Berlin, Wis.), Alex Sabin (De Pere, Wis.), Aaron Reynolds (Aurora, Ill.), Rick Beverstein (Green Bay, Wis.), Scott Greatens (Green Bay, Wis.), Grant Rosenbaum (Wrightstown, Wis.), Michael Jacobs (Appleton, Wis.), Susan Elliott (Green Bay, Wis.), Emily Zegers (De Pere, Wis.), Carolyn Silverberg (Green Bay, Wis.) and Ana Lissa Bakken (Green Bay, Wis.). Also returning are Ava Helstad (Green Bay, Wis.), Evin Duranceau (Green Bay, Wis.) and Ivory Mitchell (Green Bay, Wis.).

Other cast members include Caitlin Lloyd (Green Bay, Wis.), Chris Fuglestad (Green Bay, Wis.), Mark Jackson (De Pere, Wis.), Warren Elliott (Green Bay, Wis.), Choua Yang (Green Bay, Wis.), Lucas Jordon (Green Bay, Wis.), Jacob Bressers (De Pere, Wis.), Theo Terrell (De Pere, Wis.), Francis Beaumier (De Pere, Wis.), Ben Olejniczak (Green Bay, Wis.), Sallie Harrigan (Green Bay, Wis.), Becca Schaberg (Green Bay, Wis.), Sarah Burkhard (Green Bay, Wis.) and Maya AbuJamra (Green Bay, Wis.).

Music Theatre's second production, "Les Miserables," will be presented on July 18 at 8:00 p.m; July 19, 20 and 23-27 at 7:30 p.m.; and July 21 and 28 at 2:00 p.m.

Auditions for "Les Miserables" will be held in the Walter Theatre of the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts on May 21 and 22.

Tickets are now available for both "South Pacific" and "Les Miserables" and can be purchased online at http://tickets.snc.edu or by calling the St. Norbert College box office at 920-403-3950. In addition, all tickets for events held in Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts are subject to a $1 per ticket facility fee used to improve and enhance the facilities.
