St. Norbert College will hold its 2021 commencement ceremony in person, outdoors on the St. Norbert College campus, it was announced today.

“Given the current low numbers of COVID-19 in the area - due in large part to our students’ and staff’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of this community - we have decided that Commencement 2021 will be an in-person event,” said Brian Bruess, St. Norbert College president.

The weekend will begin with the baccalaureate Mass scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at 4 p.m. The commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 16. Both will take place outdoors on the quad just west of the Campus Center, bordered by Main Hall and Sensenbrenner Hall.

St. Norbert College held a commencement ceremony in the same location in 2016 because of construction to the Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.

More information regarding commencement, including tickets, family seating and emergency-weather plans, will be included on the commencement website at https://www.snc.edu/commencement/.

Plans have been carefully developed in dialogue with both campus leaders and the local public health department, and the college will continue to monitor public health conditions and will adjust plans accordingly.
