Meet the Class of 2024

The St. Norbert College Class of 2024 already is one like no other: This year’s first-year students join the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, moving forward with their educations after a unique and unexpected end to their high school careers.

Collectively, the 469 members of the Class of 2024 have shown that they are determined and resilient. They’ve set themselves apart individually as well, as shown here in our annual snapshot of the incoming class.

They take pride in their academics

  • They averaged a 3.6 GPA; 92 earned a 4.0 or higher and 115 earned between a 3.75 and 3.99 GPA.
  • They averaged a 25 on the ACT, with 56 scoring a 30 or higher.
  • 19 were class valedictorians; 6 were class salutatorians.

They’re leaders and team players

  • 127 are members of the National Honor Society.
  • 21 participated in Badger Girls or Badger Boys State.
  • 6 are Eagle Scouts and 2 received the Girl Scout Gold Award.
  • 1 was selected as an instructor and patrol leader for Boy Scouts of America.
  • 55 were captains of a varsity sport.
  • 3 are five-sport athletes.
  • 10 played on state champion teams.

They’re service-minded

  • They’ve racked up 1,604 volunteer hours.
  • 116 participated in a campus or community service group.
  • 27 participated in mission trips in 15 different states and three countries.
  • 1 planned and organized multiple proms and other events for classmates with disabilities.
  • 1 is co-founder of Chicago Strong, a community group that organizes young people across Chicago to advocate for solutions to gun violence.
  • 1 is a member of the Emerging Women’s Salon, an organization for equality and safety for those less fortunate both locally and abroad.
  • 1 organized a community memorial for the victims of the Parkland School shooting.
  • After living on the streets and then in an orphanage before being adopted at age 5, 1 plans to give back to others looking to overcome similar hard starts in life. 

They reach for the stars

  • 3 are accomplished equestrians.
  • 1 is one of the top skiers in Wisconsin and competed at the U.S. Nationals.
  • 1 finished high school while living in Los Angeles as a professional dancer.
  • 1 won the Wisconsin statewide geography bee.
  • 1 was selected for a two-year internship with the Northwestern Medicine Discovery Program.
  • 1 is a biology researcher for WeevilWorx, a project that harvests weevils as a biological control against Eurasian Water Milfoil.
  • 1 had an internship at a sculpture garden.
  • 1 participated in Model NATO.
  • 1 is a cadet lieutenant colonel with the Air Force JROTC.
  • 1 is a second-degree black belt.
  • 1 is an accomplished organist, playing at multiple churches in their hometown area.
