2023-2024 Academic Year Meal Plan Information

Residential Meal Plan

First and second year students residing in the residence halls: Madeline/Lorraine, Bergstrom, Mary Minahan McCormick, Burke, Sensenbrenner, Victor McCormick, St. Joseph, and Michels Hall are required to be on one of the Knight All-Access Meal Plans. First and second year students residing in the above residence halls will automatically be signed up and billed for the Knight All-Access Bronze Meal Plan through the Bursar Office at the beginning of each semester, but have the option to purchase any of the other Knight All-Access Meal Plans if they choose. Meal plans are optional for third year, fourth year and commuter students, regardless of where they are living. All meals must be used within each semester. Meal Dollars will roll over fall semester to spring semester. Meal Dollars must be spent by the end of May each year - not at the end of each semester.

Knight All-Access Bronze Meal Plan - $2,995/semester

  • This is the base plan for residents and includes unlimited access to Ruth’s Marketplace plus $500 in Meal Dollars.
  • Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.
  • This is the minimum required meal plan for First and Second year students residing in a Residence Hall. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.
  • Best value plan as students will dine for about $22.65/day plus have the meal dollar flexibility for alternative dining in the retail operations and vending.

Knight All-Access Silver Meal Plan - $3,202/semester

  • This versatile plan for residents includes unlimited access to Ruth's Marketplace plus $700 in Meal Dollars.
  • Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.
  • This plan is an alternative option for First and Second year Students residing in a Residence Hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.
  • Similar to the Knight All-Access Bronze Meal Plan, students will dine for about $22.65/day plus have a slightly higher initial allotment of meal dollars for use in retail operations and vending.

Knight All-Access Gold Meal Plan - $3,202/semester

  • This versatile plan for residents includes 225 meals to Ruth's Marketplace plus $1,100 in Meal Dollars.
  • Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.
  • This plan is an alternative option for First and Second year Students residing in a Residence Hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.
  • Highly valuable plan providing up to 15/meals per week at a cost of $8.24 per meal plus the meal dollar flexibility for alternative dining in the retail operations and vending.

Knight All-Access Platinum Meal Plan - $3,514/semester

  • This is the ultimate plan for residents and includes 285 meals to Ruth's Marketplace plus $1,100 in Meal Dollars.
  • Plan also includes 2 To-Go Meals per week.
  • This plan is an alternative option for First and Second year Students residing in a Residence Hall required to be on one of the Knight All-Access plans. Students in their third year or greater can choose this as an optional plan.
  • Highly valuable and versatile plan providing 19/meals per week with the lowest cost per meal ($7.66) plus the meal dollar flexibility for alternative dining in the retail operations and vending.

Meal dollars may be redeemed at Phil’s, Ruth’s Marketplace, Dale’s Sports Lounge, Ed’s Cafe, SNC Bookstore (Food Purchases Only), and Vending Machines on campus. Meal dollars are not available with the Off-Campus Merchants Program.

Terms and Conditions for Residential Plan
Meal plan contracts will automatically be renewed for second semester. If there is a change in your enrollment status or residential living assignment, please refer to the residential meal plan changes and withdrawals.

Making Residential Meal Plan Changes
All meal plan changes for students who are required to be on the meal plan must be approved by the Director of Dining Services. All meal plan changes must occur within the first two weeks of each semester. You may change your plan once during this time at no charge. Any additional changes during this time will result in a $25 service charge. Changes made after the two week period and before the end of the tenth week of the semester will result in a $75 late processing charge. Meals cannot be converted to Meal Dollars. No meal plan changes can be made after the tenth week of the semester.

 

 

Optional Meal Plans

The following are optional meal plan choices for third year, fourth year, and commuter students. Third year, fourth year, and commuter students also have the option to select any of the Knight All-Access Meal Plans if they choose. All meals must be used within the semester. Meal Dollars will roll over fall semester to spring semester. Meal Dollars must be spent by the end of May each year - not at the end of each semester.

Green 110 Block Meal Plan - $1,730/semester

  • Plan includes 110 block meals for the semester to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $775 in Meal Dollars.
  • All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out.
  • Alternative plan for upper classman in their third year or greater or commuters to choose this as an optional plan designed to provide about one meal per day, including weekends, throughout the semester.
  • This is a robust plan for resident students who frequently dine in Ruth’s Marketplace for a cost of $8.68/meal plus have the meal dollar flexibility for dining in the retail operations and vending.

Gold 75 Block Meal Plan - $1,455/semester

  • Plan includes 75 block meals for the semester to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $775 in Meal Dollars.
  • All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out.
  • Alternative plan for upper classman in their third year or greater or commuters to choose this as an optional plan designed to provide about one meal per weekday throughout the semester.
  • Excellent plan as students can dine in Ruth’s Marketplace for $9.07/meal plus have the expanded meal dollar flexibility for dining in the retail operations and vending.

Norby’s 80 Block Meal Plan - $1,190/semester

  • Plan includes 80 block meals for the semester to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.
  • All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out.
  • Optional plan for upper classmen in their third year or greater or commuters to choose this as an optional plan designed to provide about four to five meals per week throughout the semester.
  • Alternative plan compared to the Gold 75 Plan for students to dine in Ruth’s Marketplace for $9.25/meal with reduced meal dollars on their account for flexible dining in retail operations and vending.

Norby’s 60 Block Meal Plan - $1,020/semester

  • Plan includes 60 block meals for the semester to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.
  • All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out.
  • Alternative plan for upper classman in their third year or greater or commuters to choose this as an optional plan designed to provide about three to four meals per week throughout the semester.
  • Excellent plan as students can dine in Ruth’s Marketplace for $9.50/meal plus have meal dollars on their account for flexible dining in retail operations and vending.

Norby’s 40 Block Meal Plan - $840/semester

  • Plan includes 40 block meals for the semester to use at Ruth’s Marketplace plus $450 in Meal Dollars.
  • All meals can be used for dine-in or carry out.
  • Alternative plan for upper classman in their third year or greater or commuters to choose this as an optional plan designed to provide about two to three meals per week throughout the semester.
  • Excellent plan as students can dine in Ruth’s Marketplace for $9.75/meal plus have meal dollars on their account for flexible dining in retail operations and vending.

Optional Semester Block Meals
Students may purchase block meals throughout the semester. Meals can be purchased in blocks of 5 for $47.50 per block at the Campus Card Office with cash, check, or credit card. Meals may also be purchased at https://1card.snc.edu/OneWeb with a credit card. All meals must be used within the semester they are purchased.

Meal dollars may be redeemed at Phil’s, Ruth’s Marketplace, Dale’s Sports Lounge, Ed’s Cafe, SNC Bookstore (Food Purchases Only), and Vending Machines on campus. Meal dollars are not available with the Off-Campus Merchants Program.

Withdrawals

St. Norbert College will refund board charges in full if written notification of cancellation is made before the beginning of the term of the meal plan contract. Subsequent board charges for the meal portion of the plan will be refunded after the term has begun, on a pro-rata basis. Additional charges will be incurred for any used meal dollars. Meal Dollars carried over from the fall semester are non-refundable.
