Simon Sinek, best-selling author of “Start With Why,” will present during a free webinar for Schneider School MBA students and alumni, Center for Exceptional Leadership (CEL) clients, and others. The opportunity is delivered courtesy of Matt Sullivan ’95, advisory board member for the CEL.

MBA Students Videoconference With Simon Sinek and Amy Cuddy

St. Norbert’s Center for Exceptional Leadership (CEL) is providing a unique opportunity for Schneider School MBA students and alumni, CEL clients, and others to hear from two nationally known TED Talk speakers.

The free webinar will feature Simon Sinek, the best-selling author of “Start With Why,” and Amy Cuddy, who coined the phrase “Fake it ’til you become it.”

Sinek’s and Cuddy’s presentations are part of Express Celebrity Talks, an event organized annually for Express Employment Professionals franchises. Matt Sullivan ’95, who owns the Green Bay Express Employment Professionals office with his wife, Kim (Lopas) Sullivan ’95, worked previously with the CEL to host live viewings of other Express Celebrity Talks on campus that featured presentations by Colin Powell, Patrick Lencioni, Jimmy Johnson and Green Bay native Mark King. Green Bay Express Employment Professionals is one of the CEL’s collaborative partners.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a live viewing event wasn’t an option this year. Instead, Sullivan says, participants can log on and watch the 2½-hour presentation online any time between April 22 and June 21.

“Although we intended to host a live viewing at SNC again this year, we thought more people could benefit if we absorbed all the cost and allowed people to view the event in the safety of their own home during the COVID-19 quarantine period,” says Sullivan, a member of the CEL Advisory Board. He also has served as president of the SNC alumni board and on the SNC board of trustees.

During the online presentation, Sinek will present “Achieve Success by Thinking of Life and Business as an Infinite Game” and will discuss his new book, “The Infinite Game.” Cuddy – who draws on science to argue that, if we adopt certain behaviors, we free ourselves to be the best – will present “Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges.”

“I am especially looking forward to hearing Simon Sinek talk about his new book, ‘The Infinite Game,’ ” says Dean Stewart, executive director of the CEL. “His message of challenging the status quo and leading with a more human approach focused on the future is really relevant in our current environment.”

In addition to St. Norbert College, Sullivan also works with the Green Bay SHRM chapter to raise awareness about the event. Human resource professionals who also are SHRM members are eligible to earn 2.25 continuous education credits at no cost by watching the presentation.

Registrations are now open for the Express Talks Celebrity Edition. Individuals can sign up and view the program online after 10:30 a.m. on April 22 through June 21.
