Bios

MICHAEL BLAIR (Cookie) Previous Missions: I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Birder Players); A Christmas Carol, Guys & Dolls (Daddy D Productions).  Is over the moon to be making his Play-by-Play debut!  Keeps busy with music in other manners, most notably in the Barbershop Harmony Society with his quartet Vocal Fury. Special thanks and love to my parents, Paul and Mary, for involving me in theatre at an early age, and to my wife Jamie for her unparalleled support!
BOB CARLTON (Author) On Friday 19 January, we received the sad news that Return to the Forbidden Planet writer Bob Carlton had died at the age of 67. Featuring a soundtrack of 1950s and 1960s rock ‘n’ roll hits, Bob's most famous creation RTTFP was inspired by the 1956 cult classic science-fiction film Forbidden Planet, itself loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The show would go on to play in the West End Cambridge Theatre, where it won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 1989 before successful runs both in Australia and Off-Broadway NYC.
PARKER DREW (Dr. Prospero) Previous Missions: Has performed professionally as an actor and musician since the age of 14.  Has played leading roles in over 75 theatrical productions, and has toured the United States for over 30 years in his critically acclaimed one-man shows, Mark Twain Revisited and America’s Cowboy Philosopher – Will Rogers.  Parker is a Co-Founder/Co-Artistic Director of Play-by-Play Theatre, and is honored to present this show in memory of Mark Silverberg.
MARY EHLINGER (Director) Previous Missions:  Off-Broadway: RTTFP (Navigation Officer & Show Musical Director), Oil City Symphony, Cowgirls. Regional: George St. Playhouse, Old Globe, Arkansas Rep., Tennessee Rep., Actors Theater of Louisville, Barter, Maine State, Syracuse Stage, Florida Studio, Mountain Playhouse in PA (2 shows coming this fall).  Co-founder/Director/Artistic Director: Play-by-Play Theatre. Resident Music Director: Fireside Theatre. Composer: songs featured in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades. Member: AEA, ASCAP. Mark, we did it. Forever, for always.
JOSH FIELDS (Arts Administrative Assistant) As a longtime lover of music, Josh found the intrinsic joys of all artforms through the Arts Management program at UW - Green Bay. During his last semester, he was fortunate enough to be hired as an intern for Music Theatre which has since turned into a position as Arts Administrative Assistant for both Music Theatre and Dudley Birder Chorale.  While being new to the world of theatre, he very much feels at home with all of the Music Theatre team. Aside from music and drumming, Josh is quite fond of philosophy, photography, Indian food, and adventures with his best gal Jamie.
TONY GIOVANNINI (Earl E. Warning) Previous Missions: Over 50 productions of performance experience (cast & orchestra) ranging from high school to college to community theatre.  Many technical theatre production credits. Works as a service consultant for Vandervest Harley-Davidson. Tony earned a BM in music education (1992) and an MBA (2018) from St. Norbert College, and is excited to join Play-by-Play for the first time!
PATRICIA GRIMM (Props Designer) Patricia has been creating, buying and foraging for props for nearly 50 years since her first high school production at St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Paul, MN. She has worked with theater groups in Minnesota, Los Angeles, CA and for 30 years in the Green Bay/De Pere area starting with Next Door Children’s Theater. She is thrilled to add Play-by-Play and Summer Stage to this list. Thanks Paul!
CHRIS GABRYSZEK (Sound Engineer)
DAVID GUSLOFF (Captain Tempest) Previous Missions: The Last Five Years (Play-by-Play), Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Misérable (SNC Music Theatre).  Proud cast member of Let Me Be Frank Productions. Teacher by day, but father all the time with two awesome sons and an amazing wife with a bun in the oven.
AMY HALBMAIER (Betty Will) Previous Missions: Chava in Fiddler On The Roof (Evergreen) and numerous expeditions with West De Pere High School Theater. Graduate West DePere High School. Presently attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Amy is new to the Play-by-Play crew, but is thrilled and proud to be on this mission with them! Many thanks to Mom, Dad, Anna, and Kaleb for their love and support!
KIT HONKANEN (Stage Manager) Kit has graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay this past year. She is currently freelancing as a stage manager, theatre technician, and puppet designer. This is her first time working with Play by Play and the Saint Norbert Music Theatre Summer Program. She is excited to be a part of the production team for “Return to the Forbidden Planet”. Kit’s past stage management credits include “The Santaland Diaries” (Theatre Z), “Frozen”(Theatre Z), “Other Desert Cities”(Theatre Z), “The Hourglass Project” (University of Wisconsin Green Bay Mainstage), and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) {revised}” (University of Wisconsin Green Bay Studio Production).
CORRIE KOVACS (Miranda) Previous Missions: Baby (Pam) with Play-by-Play Theatre. National tour Smokey Joe’s Café (Patty/DeLee), The Bachelors (Kate) with American Folklore Theatre, and August: Osage County (Karen) with UWFV.  Others: Hairspray (Penny Pingleton), I Do! I Do! PAUL MASHL (Producer) is the Operations Director for Visual and Performing Arts at St. Norbert College, where he has served in a business, production, operations and facility management capacity supporting arts programming for over 13 years. He has served as technical director or helped produce more than 100 plays and musicals alongside thousands of other events over his career. In 2016, St. Norbert College awarded Paul the Exceptional Service Award for his dedication to the college’s mission and by exemplifying “radical hospitality” in his vital role of how the college is perceived by visitors to the college. In addition to serving in an advisory role to Theatre Z and other area non-profits, Paul has already been serving as producer to St. Norbert’s Next Stage program for the past three years. He received his Bachelor of Arts in theatre with a minor in music from North Central College.
MICHELLE OREN (Assistant to the Director)
EMILY TERRELL PAULSEN (Science Officer) Previous Missions: Pamiro Opera Co., Let Me Be Frank, Daddy D’s, UWGB Theatre, SNC MT, Radio Madness, Calvary Players, Allouez Village Band, and Ultimate Legends Band. Currently sings with WAMI nominated FBI & The Untouchable Horns and WAMI award winning Pink Floyd Tribute band: Project Pink. Voice and acting coach. Costume coordinator for NEWDO.org.  Proud to join Play-by-Play in RTTFP.  Her favorite role is mom to Elli, Gretchen, & Miles, and wife to Kent.
KENT PAULSEN (Producer) is the Director and Founder of the Knights on Broadway, the Associate Conductor and Pianist for the Dudley Birder Chorale, and the Administrator of the Youth Orchestra Program, all at St. Norbert College.  In addition, he has been a music director for Summer Music Theatre for the past 16 seasons. Kent is also a keyboard player for the touring Broadway productions at the Appleton PAC, including recently Wicked, Beautiful, Cabaret, and Book of Mormon.  He is also the choir director/ organist/ and worship and music coordinator at Calvary Lutheran Church.  He has a master's degree in choral conducting and music education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
TONY PESAVENTO (Axel Rhodes) Previous Missions:  Has played bass for many musicals, notably Play-by-Play's Always Patsy Cline and The Last Five Years, and UWGB's Cabaret.  Continues to gig around in the area.  Graduate Rio High School in Wisconsin.  Attended UWGB.
ERICA PETERS (Costume Designer) French teacher by day, costumer by...well, when and where ever she can fit it into her schedule. Besides teaching and costuming, Erica can be found coaching forensics and co-directing the play at Green Bay East High School. She is thrilled to be doing her first show with Play-by-Play. Other design credits include Green Bay East’s productions of A Chorus Line, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinderella, The Awesome 80’s Prom, and Little Shop of Horrors. At St. Norbert College, Erica has designed and costumed for Next Stage productions of Miss Saigon and School of Rock. You can also see her work this summer in the upcoming, Mary Poppins and Jekyll & Hyde.
COREY ALLAN PINCHART (Scenic Designer / Technical Director) Corey is in his 8th year at St. Norbert College and his 7th as Technical Director.  He has worked professionally for Pamiro Opera, Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, Dan Riley Entertainment and UWGB Music and Theatre.  You have also seen some of his scene design work right here on the Music Theatre stage. HUGE thanks to the shop crew for putting up with a crazy build schedule and lots of deadlines this summer.  Love to Michelle, Brooklyn and Blake for not having Daddy home as much as they wanted. Lastly, thank you...for supporting the performing arts...Enjoy the Show!
SHERRILL REVOLINSKI (Participant Coordinator)
AARON C. REYNOLDS (Ariel) Previous Missions: Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Miss Understanding) and Boys in the Band (Bernard), with Pride Films and Plays (Chicago). Achieving graduate status from SNC he has flown many missions with Knight Theatre and SNC Music Theatre. Thrilled to be working with PBP on this galactic adventure, he’s dedicating this mission to his internal hard drive (Mom, Mark, Mary, Carolyn, Matthew, and the rest of his family and friends) #LetLoveLead Beep. Beep.
BRITTNEY ROFFERS (Assistant Technical Director) Brittney just finished her second academic year at SNCas the Assistant Technical Director. She earned her BA in Technical Theatre and Design from UW-GreenBay in 2011. Previously, Brittney has worked with the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, several summers with SNC Music Theatre, and Creede Repertory Theatre. Brittney’s current adventures includelearning to carve wood by hand and lathe work. She would like to thank everyone for all their hard workand her family and friends for the love and support over the years.
MICHAEL ROSEWALL (Producer) is Professor of Music and Associate Academic Dean at St. Norbert College, where he has taught for 25 years. He has directed or music directed more than thirty musicals over his career, recently conducting the pit orchestra for Anything Goes, Miss Saigon and School of Rock for St. Norbert’s Next Stage summer musical theater program. A familiar performer for local audiences, Michael has sung the roles of Frederick in A Little Night Music and Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof in St. Norbert productions. He received his doctorate in Conducting and Historical Performance Practice from Stanford University and his bachelors and masters degrees in Music Education from the University of Minnesota.
STEPHEN RUPSCH (Producer) is the Associate Dean for Visual and Performing Arts at St. Norbert College. His recent productions at SNC include: The Tempest, She Kills Monsters, Songs for a New World, Metamorphoses, The Shape of Things, Frankenstein, Tartuffe, Twelfth Night, The Laramie Project, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Little Night Music, Fat Pig, and 4.48 Psychosis. Stephen is also the Artistic Director of Theatre Z, a local small theatre company, credits include: Angels in America, a reading of Blackbirds’ Garden, Other Desert Cities, Frozen and Sordid Lives. Stephen also recently directed the west coast premier of Cock for the New Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. He received his PhD in theatre arts from the University of Oregon and his MA in directing from Middlesex University in London.
ANDREW SCHMITZ (Lighting Designer) is a freelance lighting and projection designer.  While not working on theatre projects, Andrew is a product developer for an educational software and publishing company. CAROLYN SILVERBERG (Bosun Arras) Previous Missions: Play-by-Play’s Baby (Ensemble); Evergreen’s Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel) and Steel Magnolias (Annelle); frequent Shakespearean guest speaker. University of London: Romeo and Juliet (Lady Capulet), The Tempest (Alonso). Regional flights: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Camp Watitoh drama director. Upcoming: Drunken Shakespeare at The Green Room. M.A. Shakespeare from Royal Holloway University of London, SNC alum. For Dad; “Live Long & Prospero.”
DUSTIN SKENANDORE (Dane G. Russ) Previous Missions:  Recently graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in guitar performance. In addition to performance, Dustin also enjoys scholarship and educating. Dustin currently works for the Oneida Nation Arts Program, where he serves as the artistic director for the Music from Our Culture program and instructs Oneida youth.
KATELYN WERNER (Box Office Manager) This is Katelyn’s 2nd year at SNC as the Box Office Manager. She was introduced into theatre by her older sister in the 7th grade and became more involved in the arts through high school. She decided to further pursue the arts in college and received an Arts Management Degree from UW-Stevens Point in 2015. During college, Katelyn worked a variety of Arts Administration internships and began her box office career at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA. If you can’t find Katelyn in the SNC Box Office, she’s probably on a motorcycle ride, playing music, at a concert or binge-watching Gilmore Girls.
AMY WRIGHT (Navigation Officer) Previous Missions: Play-by-Play's Swingtime Canteen (Topeka), Always Patsy Cline (band pianist). Twenty years teaching vocal music. Currently choral director at Pulaski Community Middle School. Director of annual school musical (Grease, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and this year’s Seussical, The Musical). Two time Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction. Wisconsin Choral Directors Association’s Outstanding Middle Level Choir Director (2015). Thanks to Jason and Natalie for your love and support, and Mary for your guidance and unwavering faith in me.
