A Mandatory Report Was Made About Me

A mandatory report may have been made stating I have experienced sexual misconduct. What happens next?

All St. Norbert College faculty and staff are mandatory reporters, which means if they become aware of an instance of sexual misconduct, whether it involves a student or employee of the college, they are required to report it. This is for the protection of both the survivor/victim as well as the safety of the entire campus.

If you have been reported to a Title IX facilitator, someone will reach out to you to offer assistance, explain the available resources both on- and off-campus, and, most importantly, ensure your safety, health and well-being. The Title IX facilitator will also outline the various options available to you, including requesting supportive measures, requesting a formal investigation, informal resolution and/or filing a police report.

As the survivor/victim, you can choose to use only those services that would be most helpful to you. Additionally, you have the right to refuse further action and services.
