Mock Interview Relay for Teachers (MIRT)

School Administrators

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

5:30-8 p.m.
Hendrickson Dining Room
F. K. Bemis International Center

The Mock Interview Relay for Teachers (MIRT) is an opportunity for teacher candidates to gain confidence with interviewing and to network with school administrators.

Participating school administrators conduct 30-minute mock interviews with teacher-education candidates. During the last 10 minutes of these sessions, students are provided feedback on their interview skills and are given the opportunity to ask administrators questions.

MIRT provides a valuable experience for senior teacher-education candidates, but also the opportunity for administrators to meet the newest members of the professional teaching community.

We welcome teachers, assistant or associate principals, principals, district administrators, superintendents, or other school administrators to serve as interviewers for MIRT.

If you are interested in being a volunteer for MIRT, please complete the registration form. For further questions, contact the Career & Professional Development office at careers@snc.edu or 920-403-3040.

Students

The Mock Interview Relay for Teachers (MIRT) is an annual event hosted by the Career and Professional Development office for senior education majors. At this event, education majors take part in practice interviews with area school administrators and you’ll receive constructive feedback about your interviewing skills, develop confidence with the interview process and have the opportunity to network with school administrators.

Each student will meet, individually, with area school administrators, in 30-minute segments, take part in a typical teacher candidate interview and receive immediate feedback from the administrator.
