VAWA Grant at St. Norbert College

Building a community in which we all feel safe, cared for, valued and heard is central to our mission at St. Norbert College, where we are committed to upholding the sacred dignity of every person. As part of that commitment, the college is working to build awareness of violence prevention and establish ways to provide effective, caring responses to students, faculty and staff who experience interpersonal violence.

Through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant, awarded to St. Norbert from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women in October 2019, the college is working to facilitate campus-wide cultural change toward the elimination of gender-based violence. The grant is an important opportunity for St. Norbert College to bring resources, support and services to the campus community to help survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.

This project was supported by Grant No. 2019-WA-AX-0001, awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice. The opinions, findings, conclusions and recommendations expressed in this publication are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the U.S. Department of Justice.
