Gender-Based Violence Prevention Programs and Projects

The VAWA grant supports college programs and projects designed to prevent or respond to campus incidents of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. In collaboration with community leaders such as the De Pere Police, the Sexual Assault Center and Golden House, St. Norbert College students, faculty and staff are working to build awareness of violence prevention and make our campus a safe place for all.

VAWA Grant December 2021 Report
The St. Norbert College VAWA grant work focuses on four key disciplines: Prevention, Student Conduct, Survivor Services and Law Enforcement. In this December 2021 report, the VAWA grant team shares the work and progress it has made to-date in each of those disciplines.

Art Therapy
Advocates from the Sexual Assault Center of Family Services and the Golden House Domestic Violence Shelter lead therapeutic art activities for survivors of sexual misconduct.

Safe Space
St. Norbert College has a dedicated space where community members can feel safe, welcome and comfortable, specifically after a gender-based violence incident.

VAWA Grant: Progress for Campus
The SNC campus community was invited to a VAWA Grant town hall in Spring 2021 to discover the new prevention work happening on campus. Watch recordings to meet the grant team, learn how to access services early, and provide your support to our community members experiencing interpersonal violence.
