Ruth’s Marketplace

Ruth’s Marketplace, our main dining hall located in Michels Commons, is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet-style eatery. It offers a wide range of culinary experiences with everything prepared fresh for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our allergen-friendly station is a popular destination for students with food allergies, sensitivities or preferences. Menu items include gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and halal options.

On the menu:

  • Fusion Station with tasty regional and global offerings
  • Third Street Deli with build-your-own sandwiches
  • The Salad Bar with build-your-own choices as well as soups and fresh-cut fruit and veggie options
  • The Grill for homestyle food and traditional char-broiled favorites
  • That’s Amore for your fill of pizza and pasta
  • The Allergen Station for safe, allergen-friendly and tasty options
  • Weekday Wellness for healthy and nutrient-rich choices
  • A dessert station with home-baked goodies (and an ice cream machine!)

Phil’s Grill and C-Store

Located in the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center, Phil’s Grill and C-Store offers a wide variety of items including:

  • Cook-to-order grill and appetizer items
  • Sushi
  • Refrigerated and frozen food items
  • Cold bottled beverages
  • Snacks including chips, crackers and candy 
  • Convenience store staples, including sundry items

Ed’s Coffee Shop

Stop at Ed’s Coffee Shop in the Mulva Library to enjoy a full menu of specialty drinks and menu options, including:

  • Coffee
  • Smoothies
  • Cold Italian sodas
  • Hand-dipped ice cream shakes
  • Teas
  • Breakfast entrees
  • Pizza
  • Wraps

Dale’s Sports Lounge

Head to Dale’s Sports Lounge to watch your favorite sports team or TV series in a comfortable lounge atmosphere. After Ruth’s Marketplace closes, Dale’s offers an appetizer-style menu with all of your favorites, including:

  • Nachos
  • Burritos and burrito bowls built-to-order
  • Sliders
  • Tacos
  • Chicken wings

Meal plans and meal dollars

If you are a first-year student residing in on-campus housing, you are enrolled in the Knight All-Access meal plan which gives you unlimited access to Ruth’s Marketplace, $500 in meal dollars and numerous guest or take-out passes per semester.

Meal dollars are placed on your St. Norbert College ID. Your ID acts as your debit card for purchases made at Dale’s, Phil’s and Ed’s. If you need a late-night snack or a meal on the run, just swipe your ID card at campus vending machines.
