/ A study of the instruments of the concert band and orchestra, their tonal characteristics and transpositions. Assignments involve scoring for orchestra, concert band and various small ensembles. Coursework includes score analysis, listening and computer generation of assignments. Prerequisite: junior standing or instructor’s consent. Variable.
