String Day 2023

The Music Department at St. Norbert College is inviting you to SNC String Day! All violin, viola, cello and bass players with at least two years of experience taking private lessons or playing in an orchestra are welcome to attend (age 12 and up recommended).

The day will include orchestra rehearsals, upper and lower strings technique classes, violin and cello masterclasses, and a concert featuring all String Day participants and faculty. Registration is $25 per attendee (includes lunch and a T-shirt).

Cello/bass warm-up and technique class
9:45-10:45 a.m. Orchestra rehearsal
11 a.m.-noon Cello masterclass with guest artist, Adam Collins, University of Montana
Noon-1 p.m. Lunch in Michels Commons (SNC cafeteria)
1-1:50 p.m. Orchestra rehearsal
2-2:50 p.m. Violin masterclass with Taylor Giorgio, St. Norbert College
3-3:50 p.m. Orchestra rehearsal
4-4:40 p.m. Music vendors, Q&A with guest artist and SNC students, snacks
5-6 p.m. String Day Concert in Walter Theater
