Humans of St. Norbert:

“Pen pals is a program that connects local high school students, generally it’s going to be first generation college students, with St. Norbert students. You write letters back and forth to give the students an idea of what college is like. At the end of the year, there will be a big event where all of the high school students get to come on campus and meet their pen pal and get a tour of the campus. My pen pal and I, we did the normal talking about our lives, what college is like and giving advice. But, at the end of every single letter, we would draw a little cartoon and write a joke relating to the cartoon, which is really cute and a lot of fun. As a college student, it’s sometimes hard to get involved in the community because you're so busy and I really appreciate that it’s a way that I can get involved on a very personal level. Personally, with the whole college thing, it was terrifying and it was a mess. It feels really good trying to help someone else navigate all of that.”
