To our friends at Cardinal Stritch University

Join a welcoming community that makes the transfer process easy

We know these are not easy days for you. The closing of the university puts you at an early and unexpected crossroads in your life.

So which way will you turn?

As you consider where to continue your college journey, keep in mind the wise advice in Cardinal Stritch’s own motto: “To value the better things.”

You’ll discover that St. Norbert College is, like Stritch, a place for those who value the better things. A place where community is important; where values matter; where learning is done with purpose.

SNC is working on an agreement with Cardinal Stritch that will be effective for students who transfer no later than the Spring 2024 semester and honored throughout your time here at the college. We welcome transfer students, and we make the transition easy. You’ll be supported at every step, and welcomed by every member of our campus community.

Leadership expert Robin Sharma says, “You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it.” And you are.

Why choose SNC?

For Cardinal Stritch students who are in good standing at the time of transfer application, St. Norbert College guarantees admission. All of the credits you've already completed at Cardinal Stritch will be put toward an equal or comparable degree program when transferring your college studies to SNC.

The SNC residency requirements that outline the number of semester credits and advanced courses needed to earn an undergraduate degree will be waived for Cardinal Stritch students who transfer to St. Norbert College no later than the Spring 2024 semester.

Additionally, the requirements that are part of SNC’s core curriculum will be waived for Cardinal Stritch students who have previously completed the Limitless Curriculum at Cardinal Stritch and transfer to SNC no later than the Spring 2024 semester.

You'll be able to stay on track with the same timeframe for graduation based on your college credits earned and remaining when transferring from Cardinal Stritch if you continue to maintain satisfactory progress at SNC. We’ll work with you to understand all of the requirements and make it happen; we’re committed to helping you manage both the time and cost of college.

When transferring to SNC by the Spring 2024 semester, the applicable net tuition will be the same or less than the cost of your enrollment at Cardinal Stritch for last year. SNC’s annual tuition rate increase is typically no more than three percent for subsequent years. Housing, meal plans and any other fees outside of tuition will be based on SNC’s latest published rates. For student-athletes and international students, net tuition is assessed on an individual basis.

Even more reasons to transfer

This is the big one as a transfer student, isn’t it? Know this about SNC: It's a friendly, welcoming place. Students look out for one another. They’re kind. You’ll thrive here in De Pere, from Day One.

When we assign you to housing, we’ll match you up with students in your own class year – first-year students with other first-years, sophomores with sophomores, etc.

We have more than 30 different majors and more than 80 programs of study. If you don’t find a major you like, you can even create your own. Whatever degree program you choose, keep in mind you’ll be learning in small classes from professors who love to teach.

We have roughly 100 student clubs and organizations, spanning the gamut from academic to service to recreation to diversity organizations. If you’d like to start a new one, we’ll make it easy!

As for athletics, SNC is a Division III college with 23 varsity teams, so if you maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, you’re eligible to participate.

If you are a little bit competitive, we also offer a popular intramural sports program — nearly 800 students participated last year.
