“SNCtalks is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff and alums to all come together to share what they’re passionate about, something they feel the community should hear and learn. In addition to people coming to hear inspirational talks, there will also be a lot of entertainment opportunities which will bring in even more people from the SNC community. It will be a very fun, interactive night for everybody.

“[The idea for SNCtalks] came about because I personally love to talk about what I’m passionate about. I’m really passionate about hormonal health and the menstrual cycle. I think that’s not talked about enough, and when it is, it’s kind of in a shameful, negative way. I like to help inspire people to love and honor their bodies and understand them more. I knew that I wasn’t the only one with a passion like this. So I went to Carol Bruess in January of 2021 and we talked about it. To my surprise, some other students had mentioned it in the past and there was even some brainstorming started. We kind of decided that this had to be done now that I was the third person to come to her, so the two of us and Alaina Morales started planning.

“There’s some unknown [about my future]. Right now, I am finishing a course in functional diagnostic nutrition, which focuses on holistic health practices. I’d love to do something with that [after my time at SNC]. I also have a business degree so, in the future, my end goal is to open a women’s wellness center.”
