How does money really “work”?

What does the cost of crude oil have to do with how much it costs to manufacture your sneakers? What is the real story behind headlines about national debt? What makes the stock market tick? If your interest in money extends beyond your wallet, consider pursuing a degree in economics at St. Norbert College.

Academic paths within the economics major

We’ll teach you to become adept at combining quantitative analysis with insight into human behavior. As an economist, the issues you investigate – health care, international relations, income inequality and more – are the issues that shape societies. SNC offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics or economics teaching. Also, you may pursue a minor in either field.

Elevate your economics education

SNC’s relationship with American University in Washington, D.C. lets you participate in policy and international trade seminars and internships through the Washington Semester program. Another fantastic resource for our economics students is the The Center for Business, Economics and Analytics (CBEA), offering experiential research opportunities, presentations like the annual State of the Economy event and paid internships.
