SNC rewards your merit with scholarships

You have noteworthy achievements. Your success comes from hard work. St. Norbert College rewards your efforts with merit scholarships that could make a substantial difference in how you plan to pay for college.

We encourage all current students to seek out every source of merit aid they’re eligible for, including outside merit aid.

Academic merit scholarships

SNC celebrates your academic performance in ways that matter. All SNC academic merit scholarships may be applied to your tuition.

When you first apply for admission to SNC, you are automatically considered for academic merit scholarships. Students who receive academic scholarships do not reapply each academic year. The amount that is originally awarded is dispersed equally during the course of four years. To continue receiving this merit aid, you are required to maintain the minimum standards associated with the specific award, or risk losing your scholarship.

Exceptionally accomplished students are honored with this scholarship. Trustee Distinguished scholars must be enrolled full time, and must maintain good social standing and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 at SNC.

If you have an outstanding college preparatory background, you could be awarded this competitive scholarship. Presidential scholars must be enrolled full time, and must maintain good social standing and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.75 at SNC.

Are you a born leader with a strong college preparatory background? SNC chooses students with impressive leadership potential for this award. Students must be enrolled full time, and must maintain good social standing and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5 at SNC.

Do you thrive on being actively engaged in your school? Students who receive this scholarship demonstrate quality academic preparation with participation in high school activities, community service projects and leadership roles. Van Dyke scholars must be enrolled full time, and maintain good social standing and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0 at SNC.

We offer merit-based tuition awards to highly qualified foreign students who apply to study in a degree program at St. Norbert College. Award decisions are made after application documents are received and the applicant’s file is complete. Awards are renewable each year on condition the student remains in good academic standing. Find out more about international student scholarships.

Entering full-time transfer students are awarded by the office of admission on the basis of high school and postsecondary education records, standardized test scores and extracurricular activities. A transfer scholarship is applied to tuition only. Recipients must maintain a good social standing and a cumulative grade-point average that is in line with the amount of scholarship received. Learn more about transfer scholarships.

Specialty merit scholarships

SNC thrives when students contribute to our campus culture. We’ve designed scholarship programs to encourage student engagement in areas such as music, leadership, service, spirituality, research and study abroad. We offer a considerable number of specialty merit scholarships, each with different requirements and award amounts. Be sure to confirm the details about scholarships that interest you, including how to apply.

If you plan to pursue a major or minor in music — or if you simply want to continue performing music in college — you may audition for a music scholarship. Awards range from $500 to $3,000 per year and are renewable for three additional years. Eligible students must be enrolled full time at SNC and participate in one of our 14 major ensembles. International students are eligible for this award. Get more details on music scholarships.

If you’re active in your spirituality or have been involved in faith-related activities, this one-time $1,000 scholarship could be for you! Students interested in this scholarship should also consider the ALIVE Peer Ministry apprenticeship. Apprentices earn an hourly wage and focus on growing their faith and leadership abilities. International students are eligible to apply. Get more details on Peer Ministry scholarships and apprenticeships.

If you plan to study abroad during your time at SNC, consider applying for scholarships that could make your semester abroad more affordable. Get more details on SNC study abroad scholarships.

Explore exciting research with faculty and staff during your first two years at SNC. We designed these fellowships for first-year students, to provide the opportunity to explore research right at the beginning of your college career. Check the website in late spring to review newly posted research projects. International students are eligible for these fellowships. Get more details on the SNC research fellows program.

Are you interested in becoming an officer in the military? If so, you may be eligible for an Army ROTC scholarship that includes tuition, room, board and living expenses. Get more details on ROTC scholarships.
