Merit scholarships

Hard work can pay off with merit scholarships

If you’re trying to lower the cost of your college degree, merit-based scholarships can be one of your best bets. They can drastically reduce your bill — and celebrate your talents. While need-based financial aid is determined by your family’s income and financial assets, merit scholarships are awarded based on your achievements.

Types of merit-based aid

Merit scholarship funds can help you pay for a large portion of college costs, and you may be eligible for scholarships offered by St. Norbert College as well as outside organizations. Most of the time, you must do the work to find and apply for merit awards. However, some scholarships do not require a separate application, including high-value merit scholarships from SNC.
