Humanities

Humanities are at the heart of how we think

When you study in the humanities division at St. Norbert College, you get right to the heart of how we think about ourselves, each other and the world. Students pursuing a humanities degree hone time-honored skills like effective communication, critical and creative thinking, cultural understanding and curiosity — which can be leveraged as a leader and decision-maker in any field.

SNC’s humanities programs
What can you do with a career in the humanities?

SNC’s alumni with humanities degrees work in a wide range of industries, from law and government to medicine and behavioral health, and from business consulting to social media management. Jobs in the humanities span a variety of disciplines, but what they have in common is a focus on the human experience.

Humanities majors can pursue careers as interpreters and translators, human resources managers, labor relations advocates, technical writers and editors, historians and research librarians, or equity and inclusion directors.
