FREN 305 Introduction to French Literature and Society: The Middle Ages, The Renaissance to Classicism

FREN 375 French Civilization, Literature, and Identity: The Revolution to the 20th Century

Total Credits Required: 16 at the 300 level or above

In addition to the above courses, two 300-level or above electives are required. All students seeking certification to teach a modern language must complete a language immersion experience in an educational setting of at least six to eight weeks in a country where French is primarily spoken.

SPAN 300 Making Connections: Conversation, Composition and Culture

Total Credits Required: 16 at the 300-level or above

In addition to the above courses, three 300-level electives are required. All students seeking certification to teach Spanish must also complete an approved language immersion experience of at least six weeks in a Spanish-speaking country. Members of the Spanish faculty have information regarding a variety of suitable programs.

At least two of the four courses for the minor must be taken at St. Norbert College. Students must complete either SPAN 301 or SPAN 302 before taking SPAN 389, and may not take both SPAN 365 and SPAN 370.
