SNC offers an entire division of academic programs in visual and performing arts. Whether your talents lie in ceramics or playwriting, classical guitar or gouache — or something else entirely — you’ll explore many forms of art here, including some that might be new for you. What can you do with a career in the visual and performing arts?

Visual and performing arts majors can pursue careers as band directors and orchestra conductors, sound and lighting designers, animators, event planners and museum curators.

SNC’s visual and performing arts alumni work in a wide range of organizations, including schools, cultural institutions, corporations, small businesses and media outlets. Jobs in the arts can take a number of forms, but they share an emphasis on creative expression.

SNC allows you to design a divisional major in visual and performing arts, composed of courses from various disciplines within the major that help you explore new techniques or further your existing skills. SNC supports you through the college course selection process with practical guidance.
